In a shocking incident in Newtown, two students were robbed and allegedly assaulted by two youths who forcibly took them to an under-construction house.
The incident took place near the Newtown Ram Mandir, where the victims were on their way to visit. The accused snatched the students' mobile phones, gold chains, and money before assaulting them.
After receiving a complaint from the victims' relatives, the Eco Park police station launched an investigation. As a result of their efforts, the police arrested the two accused youths, Imran Ali and Vivek Singh, who were found to be carrying weapons at the time of their arrest. The stolen mobile phone and gold chain were also recovered.
The incident has raised concerns about safety and security in the area. Residents and authorities alike are calling for stricter measures to be put in place to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
